Our aim is to bring the exquisite weaves and prints of India on one platform. Almost every state of India has a unique handloom product to offer such as Phulkar from Punjab, Ikats from Andhra Pradesh, Block prints from Rajasthan, Patola from Gujarat, Daccai from West Bengal, Brocade from Banaras. And NRITARA aims to become a platform that represent a majority of the Indian handloom. All our products are directly sourced from the weavers and artisans of various regions, across the country.
Nritara aspires to take the “Glocal” approach - connecting local Indian artisans to a global market. Indian handloom is rich in variety and is appreciated all over the world over for its craftsmanship and intricacy of designs and NRITARA’s vision is to bring it to the world.
Nritara is a vision of a mom & daughter dancer duo with a passion for preserving the indigenous weaves and arts like Banarasi, Patola, Ikat weaving, block printing, Kalamkari painting and more of such crafts that reflects the rich heritage of India. At Nritara, every step taken is towards the uprising of the weavers and craftsmen of Banaras, Rajasthan, Orissa, Gujarat, West Bengal, Punjab and many more artisanal communities across the country who are weaving the Indian culture every day.
